Many things have changed in the year since the last post.
The NGO of Vanessa, the Fishing Cat Ecological Enterprise (FCEE), has started to take over the survey work Jos has been doing over the years placing wild cameras and filing all the results in files. FCEE has doubled the number of 11 wildcameras I sponsored and provides Ra with salary to assist the location manager of the FCEE, mr. Vichet. Vichet and Ra can use now the new boat, engine and materials FCEE provided, to check and maintain the camera's that are placed in area that can only be accessed by boat. This is of course very helpful, and we are very happy with these developments.
The drive to get Ramsar status for the Prey Nup Mangroves show to be troublesome, as the department under which it falls now doesn't want to hand it over to the Ministry of Environment, a pre-condition for such a status.
Hereby the list of mammals that are living in the Prey Nup Mangroves and surroundings.
